~ WHAT TO WEAR
Dress warmly! Dress for skiing with an extra layer including hat, gloves or mittens. Sunglasses and/ or goggles are recommended, as are hand and/or toe warmers. Wear the warmest footwear you have - we have overboots available for those that need more insulation and/or waterproofing.
~ WHAT TO BRING
Cameras are always welcome, a water bottle is recommended.
~ WHAT TYPE OF BREED ARE THE DOGS
The breed of the dogs we run are called Alaskan huskies. They are not a pure bred but rather a hybrid of husky, hound and other working breed dogs. They are a smaller, faster and more athletic version of a Siberian husky. None of the purebred northern breeds can match it for sheer racing speed. Therefore Alaskan huskies are the most common breed in the sled dog world.
